Week 1 Assignment: Recontextualization

This assignment turned out to be pretty fun! Recontextualization for me is to use an existing content (could be in any type of media or even a concept) and apply it a new meaning. The process was very fun, because it changes your creativity. To recontexturalize a content, you will have to jump out from the concept or meaning that the author has already set for you. I was feeling like streching myself towards opposite directions. 

Okay, so this is my first attempt to recontextualization. Below is a print commercial from M&M that I chose. It reads communication just got sweeter.

Then I transformed this image into this:

As you can see, above the keyboard is a "blue screen" which happens when PC crashes, and that makes you lose everything you are working on, and then you feel like want to kill someone. So communication just got better? Wait a second...maybe not...want a sweet M&M?
